My Life!

My name is Alonso Alán, and I will be an Industrial Engineer!!!!

We cannot know who we are if we do not know where we come from. Therefore, first I am going to tell you, that I come from goodly parents. My father Carlos Alán comes from Guanacastecan Pampa and my mom Ana Isabel Soto was born in San Carlos, our beloved land. I was born at the Calderon Guardia, this hospital was named after Rafael Angel Calderon Guardia , the ex-president of Costa Rica who promoted the labour and social security code, improving the conditions for Costa Rican workers and the creation of C.C.S.S and the national Symphony Orchestra. (My paternal grandfather's name was Rafael Angel and my maternal grandfather's name was Angel).Well, to continue with this story, I grew up in different urban areas near San Jose, such as San Fracisco de Dos Rios, Dulce Nombre de Coronado, San Felipe de Alajuelita, San Rafael de Desamparados. I lived also in rural areas such as Ciudad Quesada, Nicoya and Santa Cruz. I also spent two years in my beloved Panama- name comes from panamanian indigenous dialects which means "land of abundance"- so, as Facundo Cabral would say: "I am not from here, I am not from there", but I can assure you that in each place there was a part of me and in me, I have an important part of each of them. For example, I found that public education is high level regardless the place, and that we must fight to continue improving it. I graduated from Monseñor Sanabria Technical High School and I studied at UCR facilities in Liberia for a year. And now, for the first time I am pursuing my studies in a private institution, where education is also very good.
