The media is our main source of information, news, and history. It makes keeping in touch with the world easier than reading. However, it can also form our concept of what the rest of the world is like, and, what ours should, media represent one of the most important and under recognized influences on children and adolescents' health and behavior, however, other media are important as well.

In the Social Network –Facebook- members can join virtual groups based on common interests, see what classes they have in common, and learn each others’ hobbies, interests, musical tastes, and romantic relationship status through the profiles.

Online social network sites may play a role different from that described in early literature on virtual communities. Online interactions do not necessarily remove people from their offline world but may indeed be used to support relationships and keep people in contact, even when life changes move them away from each other.
